วันที่ 25 พฤษภาคม 2564 คณะรัฐมนตรี (ครม.) มีมติอนุมัติ ร่างกฎกระทรวงว่าด้วยรถรับจ้างบรรทุกผู้โดยสารไม่เกิน 7 คน ผ่านระบบอิเล็กทรอนิสก์ได้ หรือให้เข้าใจง่ายๆ ก็คือปลดล็อกการเรียกรถผ่านแอปพลิเคชัน และประชาชนทั่วไปนำรถส่วนตัวมาให้บริการรับส่งได้
